Far North Queensland Ports Corporation Limited, trading as Ports North (PN) is a Government-owned Corporation established under the Government Owned Corporations Act 1993 (Qld) that develops and manages port facilities. PN operates the Ports of Cairns, Cape Flattery, Karumba, Mourilyan, Skardon River, Quintell Beach, Thursday Island, Burketown and Cooktown.

Ports North invites Tenders from suitably experienced Suppliers for a Design & Construct Contract to Replace Ports North Hostile Vehicle Mitigation Barriers (HVMB). The contract encompasses the design, supply, installation, and overall delivery of the replacement of two HVMB’s at the Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal and one at the Reef Fleet Terminal. The Tender package includes decommissioning of existing HVMB’s, Hydraulic and Electrical controls, concrete remediation works, installation of new HVMB’s, Control Boards, testing and commissioning of the installations. Planning, scheduling, and stakeholder communication in a live operational environment will be key to a successful outcome.
