Tender Overview

The Department of Youth Justice and Victim Support (DYJVS) is looking to establish a culturally responsive pilot supporting young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men to desist from engaging in domestic and family violence toward family members, including siblings and intimate partner.

The pilot service is to be established in Cairns with a supplier who has an existing operational presence in Cairns.

The supplier must be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander organisation or business and have established relationships with local Elders, Traditional Owner groups and community leaders to support their effective engagement with and support for First Nations peoples in the local Cairns community.
