Tender Overview

The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) currently has a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanning system and Contrast Delivery System located within the Department of Medical Imaging (DMI) on level three (3) of the Ned Hanlon Building (B40). This system is now at the end of its useful life, has reached Medicare sensitivity and requires replacement to sustain current demand and provide flexibility for future requirements. This is the primary purpose of this ITO.

MNH also requires the delivery of engineering services, and building modification and upgrade works, necessary to accommodate the new MRI, and intends to undertake some minor refurbishment works to the rooms adjacent the MRI room to address space and workflow challenges within the central patient preparation area within the MRI section of DMI (together “MRI Project Works” as described in Part A – ITO Particulars, Schedule 2 – Customer Requirements). These works are to be undertaken in conjunction with the MRI replacement. In their submissions, Suppliers are invited to confirm whether or not they are willing to deliver the MRI Project Works as a “turnkey” package along with their supply of the replacement MRI system.
