The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a Senior Amenities at Humpybong SS, located at Ernest Street, Margate QLD 4019, as part of the Targeted (TARGETED) program.

The scope is an internal refurbishment of existing student and staff female and male amenities including a cleaner’s store. Works to include new flooring, fixtures and fittings, joinery, ceiling, electrical, flooring and painting. The position of the building is on the northern aspect of the school campus with limited site access and working space. All works are to be completed by August 2025.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:

• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works

• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $1,000,000.00

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance

It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
