The Contractors is to provide labour, materials and equipment to carry out periodical and preventative maintenance services for lifts and vertical transport systems on the Smithfield campus of James Cook University. All lifts shall function on demand, within their design parameters and are maintain to the manufacturer’s specifications, to any/all relevant Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and Regulation with all work to be carried out in a tradesman-like manner using Best Practice.
This work includes the supply of any tasks, functions or responsibilities not specifically described as part of the section 3.1. Services, but which is necessary or incidental to the proper provision of the Services, and is deemed to be included as part of the Services as if specifically described below.
To maintain all equipment listed in Section 4, the contractor must hold all licenses, accreditations, credentials and memberships which are required to carry out any and all tasks, functions or responsibilities, not specifically described as part of the Section 3.1, Services, but that are necessary or incidental to the proper provision of the Services, and are deemed to be included as part of the Services as if specifically described.
A fee structure including hourly labour rates is to be provided for repairs and additional work that may be requested by the University as part of the service maintenance. Materials purchased shall be charged at trade prices
