Tender Overview

The Department of Education (DoE) is inviting tenders for supply and install of a new hard shade structure and upgrade of court, located at Finch Hatton State School, Eungella Road, Finch Hatton 4756. Scope details as noted below:

Hard Shade Structure

Design, supply and install one (1) hard shade structure orientated in a North South alignment to be located over eastern most existing court (of two existing courts), basketball and netball, within existing fence boundary.

Provide two pricing options:

1. Span over East West alignment with support posts positioned North South ends (short edges).

2. Span over East West alignment and increase the width (width only, not length) to regulation dimension. This option will sacrifice use of the second existing court (tennis).

Upgrade of Court

Existing basketball / netball court to be resurfaced complaint with DoE hardcourt resurfacing standards. Safe court runoff distances to be maintained.

Provide two pricing options:

1. Maintain existing court dimensions to suit shade structure as per Option 1 above. Basketball/netball poles to be relocated so both games can be played. Currently the goal posts cannot swing around as it is impacted by the fence.

2. Increase width to regulation dimension, length to be retained within existing fenced area to suit shade structure in Hard Shade Structure Option 2 above. Basketball/netball poles to be relocated so both games can be played. Currently the goalposts cannot swing around as it is impacted by the fence.

Additional Items to be priced

• Resurfaced court to be repainted with line marking to suit basketball, netball and tennis.

• Remove and store existing basketball / netball goal posts for reinstallation post works.

• Full replacement of basketball backboard and hoops to be priced as a separate line item.

• Supply and install protection padding for all posts/ columns.

• Supply and install removable posts and net for tennis.

Optional Items (to be priced)

• Provide a price to resurface disused tennis court and repaint for handball use to be priced as a separate line item.

• Provide a price for the supply and installation of electrical power and lighting suitable for night games / activities to be priced as a separate line item.

The Project Manager will confirm site visit details via email.
