Tender Overview

The Department of Housing and Public Works (the department) is seeking to procure services from a non-government provider (supplier), to deliver a Housing and Support Link Service (the Service) in conjunction with the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS).

The Service will provide support to young families including pregnant young women aged 16 to 25 who are facing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness while receiving treatment at the GCHHS. The Service will focus on case management, housing assistance, and linking clients to healthcare and social support services. It will also integrate with GCHHS units, including the Waijungbah Jarjums unit, which provides culturally appropriate care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.

This initiative will address a critical gap in services for young families including expectant young women in the area. Young people will be supported in line with service type Mobile Support (ST5) and service delivery requirements as outlined in section 3.4 of the Homelessness Program Guidelines, Specifications and Requirements. The Service will operate under a three-year contract, with potential extensions to be determined based on Service outcomes. The successful supplier will be contracted by the department with the Service to commence from 1 November 2025.
