Tender Overview

 

The project is to carry out urgent re-lining and repairs to the ~12.8ML Thermal Energy Storage Tank (TEST) on the JCU Townsville campus.

The existing waterproofing liner is past its serviceable life, requiring a complete replacement with a new liner supported by a 10-year warranty for workmanship and materials used. The project requires completion by 31 August 2026.

Any requests for clarification or amendments during the tender process should be lodged electronically through Vendor Panel using the "Question" function. All requests together with JCU’s response will be distributed to all participating parties.

The contractor will be responsible for installing a suitable, fit for purpose liner, to the tank walls, tank floor and within pipe flanges penetrating the tank walls, able to contain the 4°C chilled water and chemicals without leaking.

The contractor is also required to allow in their lump sum price for all works, plant, resources, skills, approvals, safety, travel, accommodation, and equipment associated with the liner replacement works.

Tender Briefing to be held Monday 13th October 2025, 11am, JCU Townsville Campus - RSVP is required attention Hayley Learman, tenders@jcu.edu.au - note, maximum of four (4) representatives from each tenderer permitted to attend the briefing. The full scope of works are described in more detail in the attached issued tender documentation.
