Section 1

Tender Overview

This project is required to replace existing end-of-life voice recording systems to ensure that critical conversations continue to be recorded reliably and accurately for the foreseeable future

The proposed functionality should include:

  • Redundant recording system at each location;
  • An archive server located at Rail Centre 1 with the ability to store conversations from all three locations;
  • The ability to record a variety of conversations on systems including, but not limited to, train radio (via E1 interfaces and 4 wire E & M), control lines, control telephones, emergency telephones, VoIP telephony, proprietary digital telephones and employee and incident hotlines;
  • Access to voice recordings from authorized users on the Queensland Rail data network.
  • Storage of recordings for a maximum of 6 months after which they are deleted automatically.

The anticipated deliverables for each site will include:

  • Supply, installation and commissioning of the equipment at each site into existing 19-inch server-style cabinets;
  • Cabling from the equipment to distribution frame;
  • System Operations and Maintenance Training; and
  • Handover and As Built documentation.
  • Five (5) year Support and Maintenance Option
