Section 1

Tender Overview

RoadTek are required to undertake bridge rehabilitation works on Rooney’s Bridge.

The work include:

  • Preparation and submission of Diving Project Plan, including work procedures, JSEA's (Job Safety & Environmental Analysis), Emergency Procedures and associated documents.
  • Supply and installation of Diver protection from marine animals – for example: predator protection devices.
  • High-pressure water cleaning of piles – 40 piles from creek bed to a position of not less than the 2.5 metre tide height. High pressure clean is not to cause detriment to the pile.
  • Visual Crack Inspection of the cleaned piles including records of size and position on each pile – video and photographic records.
  • Prepare and supply a detailed final report with electronic and photographic files to RoadTek.
  • Excavation/ dredging of material to minimum of 500mm below pile level.
  • Break back piles to remove drummy concrete as shown nominally in project drawings.
  • Installation of reinforcing cage on piles
  • Installation of encasement liners.
  • Installation of concrete into the line (pouring/ pumping of concrete via pump/ tremmie or other suitable means that conforms to MRTS70).
    • Containment and management of concrete slurry to ensure it does not enter the marine environment (via pumping extraction or other suitable method).

Works are expected to commence on site late 2021 and are required to be completed in 2022.
