Section 1

Tender Overview

The Queensland Parliamentary Service is seeking proposals for the Mechanical Services Switchboard Replacement located in the Parliament House and Annexe Building, located at the corner George and Alice Streets, Brisbane.

Depending on requirements these services specifically include:

  • Demolition and removal from site of all existing MSSB’s as scheduled in the tender drawings;
  • Disconnection of existing MSSB electrical sub-mains and equipment supply cabling – existing cabling, VSD’s and associated equipment to be reused and reconnected to new MSSB’s;
  • Disconnection of existing MSSB controls cabling to be reinstalled and reconnected to new MSSB’s;
  • Allow to extend existing sub-main and controls cabling as required to coordinate with new MSSB physical sizes;
  • Design, supply and install new Mechanical Services Switchboards as scheduled in the tender drawings. Include all associated internal electrical and control wiring, and controls equipment, to facilitate automatic operation of the equipment assigned to such boards;
  • Integrate all new MSSB system metering and controls to the existing Honeywell BMS; 
  • Provide smart metering and all necessary software and programming within each MSSB to be monitored by the existing Honeywell BMS;
  • Interlink of scheduled air handling units, fire fans and smoke exhaust fans from new MSSB’s to existing Fire Fan Control Panel / Fire Indicator Panel (FFCP/FIP);
  • Provide fire rated cabling loop from MSSB’s and terminate at the FFCP/FIP;
  • Interlink of existing car park exhaust fans via existing Level 2 MSSB-ESS to existing FFCP/FIP;
  • Provision of detailed drawings showing locations and sizes of penetrations, plinths and any other item required to be provided by other trades; and
  • Reuse of all existing MSSB plinths where suitable, allow for extending and/or reforming plinths to suit new MSSB’s as necessary.
