Tender Overview

The purpose of this engagement is to seek a partner that can provide Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) with access to Microsoft 365 (M365) support and advisory expertise, in order to ensure the QCS M635 environment is designed and managed with business compliance in mind, while also factoring in usability impacts.

QCS has recently rolled out M365 across the organisation with ongoing support and maintenance of this platform being the responsibility of Digital Services & IT Branch (DS&ITB).

The Digital Services & IT Branch has made a decision to supplement internal resources with an “as-a-service” arrangement with an external provider to ensure service expectations can be met, particularly in peak periods.  QCS seeks a partner who is able to cover the complete M365 suite but specifically calling out skills in:

•           PowerBI

•           PowerApps

•           SharePoint

•           Teams

Additionally, as Microsoft 365 continually changes, QCS would like to understand the market offerings around an advisory service aligned to a Microsoft 365 Governance Framework and Toolkit but please note that QCS consider it as an optional add on which QCS didn’t necessarily need as part of the main service but want this RFQ to give the suppliers a chance to show us this offering and pricing which QCS could add onto if it wishes.

This service should be built in a way to support the evergreen nature of cloud services and to facilitate for ongoing changes based on evolving business requirements and new or updated functionality introduced by the platform. This should aim to help find a balance between end user and IT expectations to deliver consumer level ease of use while maintaining IT compliance and security.

The successful Supplier will be required to enter into a contractual arrangement under the Queensland Government QITC Framework 5.3. Modules and Schedules to be included will be dependent on the architecture of the solution.
