Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service are seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced Architect, as the Principal Contractor, to complete the schematic design phase including site analysis, geotechnical testing and design documentation. Experience within the zoological industry will be considered as highly regarded to ensure wildlife standards, codes and welfare requirements (widlife, staff and visitors) are primary to design. The intention is to develop the design for redeveloping the David Fleay Wildlife Park's small Nocturnal House to meet current standards for exhibiting wildlife in Queensland, daily servicing requirements, staff and wildlife welfare, and to enhance visitor experiences. An initial concept has been commissioned and may be utilised as the starting point for this schematic design phase. The proposed final construction budget should be no more than $1.5 million while addessing the following objectives:-
