The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of an amenities upgrade at Tannum Sands State School, located at Waratah Cres, Tannum Sands QLD 4680, as part of the amenities program.
The works include the demolition and removal of all fittings, fixtures, finishes, asbestos ceilings and wall linings, reconfiguration of the internal layout of the amenities with new drainage, fittings, fixtures, finishes and new screens within the existing amenities building. A temporary amenities block will need to be provided for the duration of the works. The position of the building is in the middle of the school with limited site access and working space. All works are to be completed by the end of July 2022
Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
- Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
- Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1 million
QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
