Tender Overview

QRP-21-143 Traction Motor Overhauls - Tender Overview

Queensland Rail invites offers to establish a Supply Contract for the maintenance/overhaul works for the various listed Traction Motors.  A scope summary is included in the Preamble document.

This tender requires a suitably competent Tenderer to undertake the maintenance/overhaul works within a timely manner an indicative schedule and estimated maintenance window has been provided within the Preamble document.

The requirement is for Traction Motors for fleets:

  • EMU train traction motor type LJB29-5
  • 100/200 train traction motor type 6EBA4040
  • 120/220 train traction motor type MJA250-3
  • 160/260 train traction motor type 1511B
  • ETT train traction motor type HS HS32531-07RB

The scope of work requirements for each individual motor type named above can be broadly categorised into the following:

  • Transport and handling
  • Incoming receipt, disassembly and initial inspection
  • Qualification and reconditioning of motor stator
  • Rewind of stator and rewind qualification process
  • Qualification and reconditioning of motor rotor
  • Traction motor re-assembly and post-assembly testing
  • Overhaul process documentation and reporting

  1. Tenderers are to email the nominated Contact Officer ( Amanda.reid@qr.com.au ) to register interest and to gain access the documents and online response form in the SAP Ariba Sourcing system with the following information:

  1. Ariba Sourcing, Queensland Rail’s tendering system, is the only tool that will be used for the receipt of tender submissions. Queensland Rail will not accept any hardcopy responses or responses via the Queensland Government QTenders website.
  2. Refer to the attached document “Ariba Guide for Suppliers (v1,1)” for instructions on how to navigate the Ariba Sourcing System (once you have registered your interest with the Contact Officer).

Tender Response Questions in SAP Ariba Sourcing

 

Queensland Rail will only accept responses submitted via the SAP Ariba Sourcing System.

 

Please do not leave tender responses until the closing date and time, allow adequate timing to have tender responses uploaded into the system.
