Tender Overview

Doc14885312 Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS)

Energy Queensland Limited (EQL) are anticipating the release of a Request for Tender (RFT) for a Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) in June 2022.

Tenderers are invited to participate in this RFT as EQL seeks to procure an operational software system to manage the increasing installation of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) on the EQL distribution network. This includes existing Audi Frequency Load Controlled (AFLC) customer devices, rooftop PV, electric vehicles and battery energy storage systems (BESSs) under dynamic connection agreements.

The DERMS will complement existing investments in EQLs Distribution Management System (DMS), SEP2 Utility Server and state estimation technology.

The DERMS scope includes:

  1. Replacement AFLC load control system,
  2. Dynamic Operating Envelope (DOE) calculation and management, and
  3. DER services program management (contracted demand management, network support).
