Tender Overview

A disaster can seriously disrupt a community, causing financial, emotional and psychological hardship for affected residents.  The state government, and other entities, coordinate disaster responses, to help communities recover from a range of events like storms, cyclones, floods, fires, explosions, infestations, and pandemics.

The Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy is committed to ensuring Queenslanders are resilient and recover well from disasters.

This forward notice is to advise interested parties of an upcoming tender to establish a new Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) for Disaster Relief and Recovery: Human and Social Services.

Applications will be sought from individuals and/or organisations, across Queensland, to provide a range of human and social services to support communities recover from disaster events. These services will support existing ones provided under Local and District Disaster Management Plans.

The SOA is made up of five categories—Personal, Practical, Disaster Support and Service Coordination; Community Development, and Needs and Impact Assessment.

Offer documentation will be available in June 2022 here on the QTenders website, where responses can be submitted electronically.

If you plan to submit a response, there are resources available on the Queensland Government Business Queensland website to help you prepare an application, including information about:
