Section 1

Tender Overview

EQL is seeking to establish a set of arrangements for the provision of road freight services:

  • Queensland transport (movement of goods within Queensland): as part of its commitment to support Queensland Government priorities, EQL intends to fulfil this requirement mostly with a set of small / medium local businesses to service their road freight requirements throughout Queensland.
  • Interstate transport (movement of goods from Queensland to the rest of Australia).

Small and medium companies are strongly encouraged to tender.

For any clarification regarding the completion of tender schedules, the submission process or any of the tender documents, please email the Contact Officer.

In EQL environment, road freight mostly involves moving goods between:

  • EQL Warehouses/depots, and
  • EQL facilities (substations, etc) to job sites, customers or suppliers.

The size of the load can vary from a pallet size to several tonnes, such as large transformers.

EQL has an ongoing demand for safe, local and experienced suppliers to provide road freight services.
