Section 1

Tender Overview

EQL is seeking a to establish a contract for the supply of LV transformer monitoring equipment which can be used for connection to all new, and retrofitted to existing in-service, pad mount, pole mount and ground transformers, over 100 kVA, and for a software management system to communicate with the devices and manage forward and backward data movement.

Approximately 1,920 monitoring units will be required per annum to satisfy EQL's requirements. The contract is expected to cover supply of almost 70% of this quantity, with the remainder to be purchased from the successful Tenderer by EQL's contracted suppliers of pad mount transformers.

The monitoring equipment should be based on current technology and support various communication technologies that can integrate into EQL’s existing telecommunications infrastructure, with the capability for delivery of remote firmware upgrades. The use of this monitoring equipment may extend to cover a wider range of transformers in the future.

 

Tenderers are invited by EQL to submit a response to Doc16550009. The response schedules and contract terms are available from EQLs online tendering tool (SAP Ariba). The proposed contract commencement date is 01/01/2023 for a period of 3 years. There are also a 1 x 24-month extension option available at EQL's discretion.

 

How to Respond:

Tenderers who wish to submit a response should follow the below instructions:

 

  1. Tenderers will be required to register with SAP Ariba by sending an email to the nominated Contact Officer, Dave Ellem (david.ellem@ergon.com.au). The email subject should contain the above tender title including the workspace number and the email should contain the following; business entity name, business email address, contact name and phone number.
  2. When registration is complete Tenderers will be invited to respond and will be able to access the EQL SAP Ariba realm via a link contained in the email notification. Please note this link will expire within 24 hours.
  3. Tenderers must accept the prerequisite Bidder Agreement under the ‘Review and Accept Prerequisites’ tab to ensure all system generated notifications are received. This includes, but is not limited to, Content updates and changes to Event Timing.
  4. If the Tenderer elect to submit a response they must do so using EQL’s online tendering tool (SAP Ariba).
  5. Tenderers are encouraged to read all relevant documentation located at https://www.energyq.com.au/suppliers.
