Please be advised, an additional Site Inspection has been organised for Tuesday, 30 August 2022 for interested tenderers. The Site Inspection is mandatory to submit a tender. Please refer Addendum No.1 for additional details.
Queensland Rail has a requirement for the Construction of a Disaster Management Centre (DRC) at Sunshine Depot.The recovery centre has been designed as a two-story building with:
- First Floor - Signalling/data/power equipment rooms
- Ground Floor - Training rooms and facilities – fit out is excluded from the scope of this contract.
The Scope of works includes the whole of works required in connection with construction including, but not limited to, the following:
- Demolition Works
- Civil Works
- Structural Works
- Electrical Works
- Lighting and Cabling
- Painting
- Signage
- Mechanical Services
- Flooring
- Roofing
- Hardstand
- Retaining wall
- Fencing
- Ceiling Works
- Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FFE)
- Building Application (BA).
- Building Certifications.
- removal and hazardous materials disposal (If applicable)
The Construction Works are currently scheduled to be completed by July 2023.
This tender aims to establish a Major Works Contract with a suitably capable and experienced Contractor for the construction of the DRC ensuring high quality service, achieved deadlines and value for money.
A mandatory Site Inspection will be held on Wednesday, 24 August 2022. Please refer to Section A - Preamble, Item 6. Site Inspection for further details.
Tenderers who wish to access the complete package of tender documents and are interested in submitting a response please follow the below instruction:
- Tenderers are to email the nominated Contact Officer (Jade.Pettersen@qr.com.au) to register to access the tender documents and online response form in the Ariba Sourcing system.
- If the Tenderer elects to submit a tender response, they must do so by using the Ariba Sourcing system.
- Tenderers are encouraged to carefully read all documentation available for download in the Ariba Sourcing system to ensure the tender submitted meets all Queensland Rail’s requirements

Queensland Rail will only accept tender responses submitted via the Ariba Sourcing system.
