Section 1

Tender Overview

The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of the new Basketball
Courts including stormwater rectification at Burnside State High School, located at 52 Blaxland Road, Nambour Qld 4560, as
part of the Targeted Maintenance (TMP) program.


The scope includes for removal of the existing sports courts and construction of two new basketball courts including stormwater
rectification works adjacent the existing structure.   The position of the building is at the rear of the school with limited site access
and working space.   All works are to be completed by December 2022.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:

  • Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works.
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $1Mil

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are
required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
