SOA for Augmentation of ICT Support Services for Schools

The Department of Education intends to establish an ICT Support Services for Schools arrangement to augment existing, internal ICT support services.

This Forward Procurement Notice is to advise potential suppliers of our intention to release an Invitation to Offer (ITO) via QTenders to the open market, with an expected release in the month of September 2022.

Any communication with the Department in relation to this Forward Procurement Notice must be in writing to the email address listed below.

The Department of Education is seeking to establish a Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) with experienced and capable ICT support service providers that will enable Eligible Customers to purchase ICT Support Services for Queensland state primary and secondary schools. The main objectives being -

  • Establishing a streamlined process for Queensland state schools to access ICT Support Services via experienced ICT support services providers, in instances where internal ICT department resources are unavailable;
  • Enabling Queensland state schools, including regional and remote schools, to access a large range of suppliers and select a supplier that best meets their specific requirements for ICT Support Services;
  • Maximising opportunities and making it simpler for suppliers to do business with Queensland state schools, in particular Australian Indigenous suppliers, small to medium enterprises and regional businesses;
  • Improving access to reporting and data relating to ICT Support Services across Queensland state schools; and
  • Augmenting the Department’s internal ICT Support Service employees.

 The Department is committed to advancing the economic, environmental and social objectives of the Queensland Government, including, maximising Queensland suppliers’ opportunities to participate in government business, supporting regional and remote economies, and doing business with ethically, environmentally and socially responsible suppliers.

 In scope ICT Support Services include -

  • Device and Equipment Management;
  • General IT Support; and
  • Network and Server monitoring.

 Out of scope services include, and are not limited to –

  • Recruitment-as-a-Service;
  • Hardware; and
  • Software.
