Queensland Rail is carrying out project B.04768 to replace four signalling power equipment rooms located between Mackay and Rockhampton. These works will include provision of new pad-mounted alternators. Alternators provide a backup power supply to ensure continued operation of the Signalling Control System during mains power outages at regional stations. The Signalling Control System provides safety control systems for the movement of trains and as such, the power supply must provide high availability. For this activity, Queensland Rail requires potential suppliers to review QRP-22-10 Supply and Delivery of Signalling Alternator for Type Approval Scope of Work document and provide a quotation for the supply of one (1) alternator unit to Queensland Rail. To be considered for this activity, suppliers must provide a product document which will include detailed technical specifications and pricing information inclusive of cost of delivery to the Queensland Rail location specified within QRP-22-10 Alternator Type Approval – Scope of Work attachment. Suppliers must also complete the QRP-22-10 Alternator Type Approval – Compliance Matrix, providing a statement of compliance against each requirement in the compliance matrix with references to supporting evidence to demonstrate that each requirement has been met.
