Tender Overview |
---|
The Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC) Racing Science Centre (RSC) is an accredited facility recognised in the rules of racing across codes to provide integrated drug testing and research, education and advisory services aimed at safeguarding the integrity of the Queensland racing industry. The RSC laboratory is independently accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) to international quality standard ISO 17025 General requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories consistent with racing laboratories in other national and international jurisdictions as required by the Australian Rules of Racing (Thoroughbred), Australian Harness Racing Rules and the Greyhound Australasia Rules. This project is to replace the existing Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) that is being used by RSC. The current system was installed at RSC in 2002 and was designed to suit RSC’s structure at that time. In 2019 QRIC undertook an external review of the structure of RSC, and subsequently, in September 2019 the structure of RSC changed significantly. The current system no longer meets RSC’s requirements. RSC requires a modern system, fully managed by the supplier, that is suitable to the new structural processes. |
