Section 1

Tender Overview

DAF are seeking a supplier or suppliers to:

  • Provide end to end fulfilment service for both the Ipswich fire ant community suppression project (approximately 24,000 households) and the Logan fire ant community suppression project (approximately 36,000 households) .
  • Receive RIFA bait shakers direct from supplier:
    • Round 1 - approximately 12 pallets with 2,016 boxes of Distance Plus for Ipswich
    • Round 2 - approximately 12 pallets with 2,016 boxes of Distance Plus for Ipswich
    • Round 1 - approximately 18 pallets with 3,024 boxes of Synergy Pro for Logan
  • Receive RIFA self-treatment instructions flyer direct from the printing house
  • Supply RIFA bait kit delivery satchel – satchel can be a padded post pack, envelope or similar.
  • Collate and pack RIFA bait kits in satchels (1 x 250g RIFA bait shaker & 1 x RIFA self-treatment Instruction flyer) 
  • Deliver RIFA bait kits to Ipswich residential addresses for two rounds of treatment (deliver twice to approximately 24,000 addresses)
    • Round 1 November 2022
    • Round 2 February 2023
  • Deliver RIFA bait kits to Logan residential addresses for two rounds of treatment (deliver once to approximately 36,000 addresses)
    • Round 1 March 2023
  • It is essential the supplier can do the full packaging and distribution services not just part of the required services.This may be through a sub-contractor for some parts.
  • It is imperative the chosen company have capacity and ability to handle such a large mailout in within a short timeframe (i.e. up to 36,000 bait kits distributed within a 2-4 week window), and that orders are trackable for confirmation of delivery.
