Section 1

Tender Overview

The Queensland Parliamentary Service is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitable partners, to implement customised Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) technology software that improves existing processes used to produce the official record of parliamentary proccedings (Hansard) for the Legislative Assemby and its Committees, and produce real-time closed captioning to broadcasts.

At this stage we are seeking to gain a more detailed understanding of the Supplier Market and the range of solutions available to us in the supply of ASR.

Two scenarios will be required to be addressed:

  1. Automated production of Hansard transcripts
  2. Real-time closed captioning of Parliamentary Broadcast

The technical requirements for proposed solutions are:

  • all data storage and AI processing must remain on Australia soil in-line with the PS's Data Sovereignty requirements;
  • security assessments will be performed on the successfully tendered solution, as part of a future procurement process; and
  • ease of use for end of users will be a consideration.

For detailed information on the specific goods / services sought under this tender, please review the "Specification Documents" in "Section 3 - Here is the detail".
