Tender Overview

The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for DES122881. 

Prescribed burn training, which both aligns with national standards and the QPWS bioregional Planned Burn Guidelines, which underpins the ecological approach to fire management.  Provide a training course to supplement existing agency Incident Controllers with skills now offered when training new Incident Controllers (ie bringing existing staff in line with national competencies). 

Depending on requirements these goods / services specifically to complete a Training & Assessment Strategy, prior to delivering face-to-face training for courses:

  • Complex Prescribed Burn Courses
  • Incident Controller Bridging Courses

Training would be delivered to QPWS&P personnel and fire management partners, including First Nations peoples.  The Training provider must be able to demonstrate capacity and commercial history of delivering accredited fire training to land management organisations.
