The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of six multi-sport sports courts and car park at the Brisbane State High School, Fursden Road sports field complex, located at 143 Fursden Road, Carina QLD 4152 as part of the School Subsidy Scheme (SSS) program. The works include the demolition of an existing change room building and six seating structures, bulk earthworks, design and construction of six multi-sport sports courts, with new equipment, lighting and fencing, design and construction of a new car park, including new drainage, signage and line marking, as well as the design, supply and installation of a new temporary amenities building on the site connected to existing services on site. The position of the site is at the Eastern side of the sports complex easy site access and ample working space. All works are to be completed by June 2023. Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
Minimum PQC Level 2 Eligibility required. QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract. Details of the site inspection will be advised in the email and letters to tenderers. Submissions close on Thursday, 24 November 2022 at 3:00pm IMPORTANT: Where a PQC Level is stated, the Principal is not obliged to provide a tender document, consider or accept a tender unless the tenderer: is pre-qualified under the Queensland Government’s Prequalification (PQC) System to the nominated level (or higher); satisfies financial requirements; and meets project-specific criteria.
