Section 1

Tender Overview

The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a Block A Refurbishment at Mooloolaba SS, located at 15 Meta Street, Mooloolaba QLD 4557, as part of the School Infrastructure Enhancement (SIE) program.

The project consists of the reconfiguration of 8 existing spaces into four classrooms, a flexible area and two offices. The works generally comprise of new carpets, new ceilings, lights and fans, new glazing, new joinery including teaching walls and associated electrical and structural works. The building is located on the northern side of the school campus with limited site access and working space. All works are to be completed by February 2023.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:

• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works

• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1,000,000.00

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance

It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
