The Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy (the department) is implementing a statewide Accommodation Package Program (the Program). The primary objective of the Program is to ensure adequate short to medium-term accommodation solutions are available to community members at appropriate times of need.

A component of the Program is the provision of suitable Temporary Emergency Mobile Accommodation (TEMA) during a disaster event where Queenslanders are unable to return to their primary place of residence.

To support the Queensland Government in meeting the TEMA component of the Program objectives, the department is creating a Preferred Supplier Panel with selected suppliers from the mobile accommodation sector. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to identify suitable suppliers with capacity to provide short to medium-term hire, safe and secure accommodation for Queenslanders, impacted by a disaster event, and which meet the objectives of the Program.

While the department is currently seeking suppliers with an ability to lease suitable mobile accommodation units to meet need in the event of a disaster, suppliers may make submissions including potential purchasing opportunities. Please note submissions relating to only purchasing opportunities will not be considered for the purposes of a Preferred Supplier Panel but may be considered in other procurements or on a needs basis (at the department’s sole discretion).
