Tender Overview |
---|
Queensland Rail requires remediation Works to be undertaken on the North Coast Line (NCL), Ayr Steel Girder Bridges. These Works are necessary to ensure safe, timely and adequate rail services between Mackay and Townsville. The Ayr steel girder rail bridges are located on the Bobawaba to Brandon section of the NCL and were most recently modified in the mid 1990’s. The bridges vary in length and number of spans; however, all utilise the same 7.4 metres span steel girder superstructure. The piers are typically mass/plain concrete less than two (2) metres high above ground. Recent inspections on five (5) steel girder bridges in the Ayr locality identified many failed and poor condition bearings. Queensland Rail requires the Contractor to replace the bearings via a Construct delivery method. TENDER RELEASE The RFT will be released January 2023 and will aim to establish a Works Contract with a suitably capable and experienced Contractor for the Works ensuring specialised service, high quality work, achieved deadlines and value for money. The RFT notification will be advertised via QTenders with responses to be submitted via Ariba Sourcing. If you wish to pre-register for this tender or have any questions, please contact Jade Pettersen, Senior Sourcing Specialist via email - Jade.Pettersen@qr.com.au. MANDATORY CRITERIA Queensland Rail Contractor Safety and Environmental Pre-qualification (Category 1) will be a mandatory requirement to undertake the Works. Prequalification requirements and submission instructions can be found at the following link: Contracting to Queensland Rail A mandatory Site Inspection will be scheduled within two (2) weeks of tender release.
