Tender Overview

The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for Agricultural Services for Red Witchweed Eradication Program. 

The Program requires engagement of contractors who can provide specfic equipment, materials and machinery to undertake activities oulined in the Response Plan, including groud preparation, crop destruction, excavation, slashing, fumigation and herbicide application.

Specific duties will include:

  • Ground preparation (to prepare or planting soybean and corn)
  • Mowing / slashing conducted on designated areas
  • Planting of soybean and corn - planted to appropriate depth and adequate coverage
  • Destruction of crops undertaken using machanical methods or herbicides
  • Herbicide applied at required rate and on selected paddocks

Records of all treatment activities must be provided to Senior Project Officer as required. All biosecurity hygiene measures are to be followed and work to be completed within one week of request (weather dependent).
