Section 1

Tender Overview

Queensland Rail requires a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to overhaul 68 IMU100 SMU200 Air Conditioning units.

Scope of Work Requirements

The SOW consists of replacing most of the components as per below:

  • Replace compressors and various refrigeration components
  • The PLC and switching gear
  • Circuit breakers to address obsolescence of existing breakers and compliance with MD-10-125
  • Replace safety devices such as pressure transducers and heaters overtemperature switches
  • Replace heaters
  • Replace fans 
  • Replace insulation on covers

A mandatory site inspection will be held Friday 10 February 2023 commencing at 10:00AM to approx. 11:00PM. Refer to attached Section A - Preamble, Mandatory Site Inspection for specific details and pre-registration requirements.

Tenderers are to then email the nominated Contact Officer (amber.hunt@qr.com.au) the above information to register to access the tender documents and online response form in the Ariba Sourcing system.

If the Tenderer elects to submit a tender response, they must do so by using the Ariba Sourcing system.

Queensland Rail will only accept tender responses submitted via the Ariba Sourcing system.
