Section 1

Tender Overview

Queensland Rail wishes to advise of an upcoming tender opportunity for project QRP-23-17 Digital Telemetry.

This tender is planned to be released to the market via QTenders in March 2023.

The telemetry architecture that is used by the Brisbane Suburban UTC system to communicate with the signalling interlockings uses the same architecture that was first installed at Maryborough in 1978. Although this aged telemetry architecture still operates, it does suffer from a number of issues.

The purpose of this project is to investigate a Control Centre side S2 replacement solution in conjunction with the Field side S2 replacement solution, and to verify that it is suitable as a replacement of the existing analogue telemetry.

Queensland Rail's objective is to select a suitably qualified and skilled specialist contractor to develop coding along with assisting with telemetry interface and testing,

Please refer to the attached Functional Requirement Specification - Digital Telemetry document for further detailed information.

Queensland Rail will be conducting a tender information session to outline specific requirements and expected project outcomes, the date will be confirmed upon tender release
