The Department of Education (DoE) is looking to establish a new Whole of Government Furniture electronic catalogue for Queensland Government Customers and to incorporate Emergency Furniture. This will allow the department to engage with local SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprise) and include bespoke furniture i.e. indigenous art. The tender is planned to be released to the market via Qtenders in April 2023.

It is expected the electronic catalogue will allow easy comparison of supplier’s products, specifications, pricing and warranty information per category. The utilisation of this shopping tool will also assist with suppliers/manufacturers capability to provide live updates to decrease or increase pricing and product variations in relation to new and replacement products, also assist with reducing the cost of delivery while providing value for money for the desired outcome for Customers.

Use of the catalogue will be mandatory for School’s purchasing furniture, including new schools and will be made available to all government agencies and universities.

This is a two step tender process with the first step being a registration of interest from potential new suppliers and the second step being a request for tender process. Existing suppliers on the current arrangement are automatically included in the first stage process. If you are not currently on the furniture arrangement DET-68449 and DETE-100926 and you wish to apply to be part of the new arrangement, please complete the questionnaire and click the submit button in order to register.
