Section 1

Tender Overview

QUT is looking to procure, configure and implement contemporary SaaS Timetabling (including exam timetabling) and Class Registration Solutions, as a replacement for the current solutions being used by QUT.

The contemporary Class Registration Solution should have the capability to handle usage by 50,000+ Students, without experiencing technical difficulties and unavailability. It should also have Class Registration functionality and capability including:

  • Allowing Students to self-manage their class preferences and waitlist processes.
  • Adopting effective system management processes that would resolve basic queries, such that Student Support Services can resolve more complex queries.
  • Increased transparency of the relevant Class Registration processes.

The contemporary Timetabling Solution should have the capability to handle Timetabling data inputs, including Student preference-based timetables and QUT Facilities information, to optimally draft timetable class times as well as room locations.

In its Connections: QUT Strategy 2023 – 2027, QUT committed to “enhancing the Student and Staff experience over the next five years”. This Project is considered a high priority for the University to create and maintain positive Student, as well as Staff experiences.
