Tender Overview

Since QRIC’s establishment in 2016, QRIC has been responsible for the purchasing, administration, and management of photo finish equipment for use at certain turf/jockey clubs in Queensland.

Currently the Commission possesses 18 Alge photo finish systems - 9 of these being hard mounted in turf clubs with the remaining 9 located in secure travel cases (fly-away kits) at Steward’s offices across the state. These ‘fly-away’ kits travel with the Stewards for use at regional race meetings by turf/jockey club engaged Judges and Photo Finish Operators.

According to the current replacement schedule, ten (10) photo finish cameras and their ancillary hardware and software are due for replacement as soon as possible. Subsequent cameras are due for staggered replacement over the following 4 years, ending in 2026.
