Section 1

Tender Overview

The Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water are inviting offers for the provision of a solution to provide non-urban water meter read information to the Deaprtment and install specified telemetry devices. Suppliers will be required to provide an end-to-end solution to ensure meter reads are trnasmitted to the department via telemetry in near real-time.

Supply and install telemetry devices

This component requires the successful supplier/s to purchase and install telemetry devices to a data service provider via a communications plan.

  • Supplier/s will be responsible for providing compliant telemetry devices and installing them in eligible surface water catchments in the QMDB.
  • Supplier/s will arrange on behalf of the water entitlement holders (WEH), a communications plan to facilitate data transfer from the device to the data service providers platform.

System development

The Supplier will deliver this component in two phases:

  1.  Build system
  2. Testing and deployment

The end product of this component will be the secure transmission of aggregated data ‘pushed’ to the department once per day. Individual data pertaining to this dataset must be uniquely referenced to the department’s Meter Reference ID.

The following is out-of-scope for this ITO:

  • Installation of non-urban water meters under the Queensland interim water meter standard for non-urban metering
