Tender Overview

Invitation to Tender: QRP-23-88 - ICT Architecture Capability Partner

OVERVIEW OF SERVICES

Queensland Rail is an integrated passenger and rail infrastructure business that provides commuter, long distance and tourist passenger rail services across the State of Queensland, Australia. Queensland Rail’s Regional Network and Freight product provides rail access for freight operators and other Queensland Rail supply chain customers, to enable the transport of resources and general freight across the state. Queensland Rail employs more than 7,300 people (headcount) and has total assets valued at $7.8 billion and the network extends more than 6,600 kilometres across the state.

Queensland Rail has an established architecture practice who are responsible for the overall governance of ICT architecture within Queensland Rail. The imminent commencement of a 10-year digital transformation journey and the acknowledgement that architecture needs to take a more prominent role in the design and build of solutions, as well as strategy and investment decisions, has created a need for additional architecture capabilities to augment the internal existing team.

Queensland Rail is seeking to establish a Panel of pre-qualified Suppliers for the ongoing provision of Architecture capability. These will generally be short term engagements based on demand to augment internal Architecture capability as required to meet adhoc business demand.

The Supplier will be expected to demonstrate:

Capacity and depth of talent pool including bench strength, employee tenure and experience.

Organisational resource stability through employee retention strategies and programs.

A flexible and scalable resourcing approach.

Organisational Management and Assurance Services.

Competitive pricing via rate cards.

References and financial viability.
