Section 1

Tender Overview

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) intends to issue an Invitation to Offer (ITO) seeking Offers for a Camera Deployment Scheduling (CDS) Solution for Queensland's portable road safety enforcement cameras.

Description / Scope

The Department is seeking a CDS Solution which, in summary:

  1. automatically generates (including with reference to crash data and configurable business rules);
  2. communicates (with multiple parties); and
  3. maintains (updates and reports on),

a camera / supplier agnostic deployment schedule for portable camera platforms enforcing mobile phone, seatbelt, speed and other future offence types.

The Department requires the CDS Solution to include the provision of all Products and Services for the supply and ongoing support of an "as-a-Service" based application as either a Software as a Services (SaaS) or Platform as a Service (PaaS) hosted by the Supplier, or a Managed Service where the application is installed in TMR's cloud tenancy and managed by the Supplier.   It is anticipated that supply will inlcude the following Products and Services:

  • Developed Software (if applicable);
  • Software / Platform as a Service or Managed Services (as relevant depending on delivery model);
  • Ongoing support services;
  • Systems Integration; and
  • Ancillary Services (including project management, transition-in, transition-out).

Any subsequent contract(s) will use the Queensland Information Technology Contracting (QITC) Framework.

Indicative Timeframes

This Forward Procurement Notice is to inform potential suppliers of the intention to advertise shortly.

TMR expects to release an Invitation on QTenders in mid-January 2024 and have a close date on or around mid-February 2024.
