Section 1

Tender Overview

Tenders are invited for Standing Offer Arrangements to form a Supplier Arrangement for the lease of Council’s light vehicle and truck fleet.

Suppliers will be required to meet mandatory criteria, as well as demonstrate competency and innovative solutions to vehicle supply and fleet management. 

This Supplier Arrangement will be established for two (2) categories:

  • Separable Portion A – Light Vehicles
  • Separable Portion B – Trucks

Separable Portion A

Council has a light vehicle fleet of approximately 550 vehicles comprising of sedans, wagons and commercial/utilities.  Vehicles are generally retained by Council for four (4) to five (5) years with a kilometre range between 80,000 and 100,000.

Light vehicle pricing is to be submitted by suppliers quarterly and held firm for the following quarter.  The first quarter’s pricing will be the pricing submitted in the Tender.

Light vehicle supply under this Supplier Arrangement will be determined on the basis of quarterly pricing, ability to fulfil vehicle deliveries and maintain performance requirements. 

Separable Portion B

Council has a truck fleet of approximately 70 leased vehicles which are generally retained for a kilometre range between 60,000 and 200,000.

Truck pricing will be obtained on an as needs basis by way of an individual Request for Quote (RFQ).

Truck supply under this Supplier Arrangement will be determined following an evaluation of the response to the individual RFQ, ability to fulfil truck deliveries and maintain performance requirements.
