Tender Overview

Offers are invited by the State of Queensland (acting through the Department of Transport and Main Roads) in relation to Invitation to Offer No. SEQSNO02/23 for the establishment of a Standing Offer Arrangement for the provision of Abandoned Vehicle Management and Towing Services – South East Queensland as specified in the Invitation to Offer document.

This Invitation to Offer comprises two major scopes, each with their own specifications.  Namely: Abandoned Vehicle Management (AVM) and Stationary Vehicle Management (SVM) (Towing).

Abandoned Vehicle Management (AVM) entails the management and removal of abandoned vehicles from the State-controlled road network in the event that an obstruction poses a high safety risk of restricting road network capacity compared with standards otherwise acceptable to the user.  Refer to Attachment A – Specifications – Abandoned Vehicle Management across South East Queensland (SEQ) for the full Abandoned Vehicle Management Specifications.

Stationary Vehicle Management (SVM) or towing entails the management and removal of stationary vehicles (and its occupants) from the State-controlled road network in the event that an obstruction poses a high safety risk of restricting road network capacity compared with standards otherwise acceptable to the user.  Refer to Attachment B – Specifications – Stationary Vehicle Management across South East Queensland (SEQ) for the full Stationary Vehicle Management Specifications.

  1. REGIONS
    1. This Invitation to Offer combines and includes what was traditionally three separate TMR regions: Metropolitan, South Coast and North Coast.
    2. This covers State-controlled roads within the following local government boundaries.

Metropolitan Region:

  • Brisbane City Council
  • Ipswich City Council
  • Redland City Council

 

South Coast Region:

  • City of Gold Coast
  • Logan City Council
  • Scenic Rim Regional Council

 

North Coast & Wide Bay/Burnett Region:

  • Moreton Bay Regional Council
  • Somerset Regional Council
  • Sunshine Coast Council
  • Noosa Shire Council
