WBHHS is responsible for the provision and management of public health services under the Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011 (QId). As part of its responsibility for public health services, WBHHS may obtain various services from industry providers. 

At present, WBHHS has contracts for the provision of: 

• Cardiac Investigations Unit (CIU) services, with accompanying licence to occupy agreements in both Bundaberg and Hervey Bay hospitals; 
• Cardiac Angiography (CA) services, at Bundaberg; and 
• Two Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) agreements, for the provision of Cardiology Clinical Services at each of Bundaberg Hospital and Hervey Bay Hospital. 

The CIU and VMO contracts are expiring soon.

Prior to undertaking a new sourcing process for these services, WBHHS is undertaking a market sounding approach to inform its sourcing strategy.

Against this background, WBHHS is calling for indications of interest from the market to participate in the market sounding process.
