Section 1

Tender Overview

The Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan (QEJP) released 22 September 2022 and the associated Energy (Renewable Transformation and Jobs) Bill 2023 introduced to Parliament on 24 October 2023 commits Queensland to Renewable Energy Targets (RETs) of 50 per cent by 2030, 70 per cent by 2032 and 80 per cent by 2035. Renewable Energy Zones are critical to delivering on the Queensland Government’s commitments.

The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals and EOI's for Supplier/s Project Lead for Queensland Renewable Energy Zones (REZ) Readiness Assessments. While REZ Readiness Assessments need to be data driven, evidence-based and underpinned by the delivery of a robust strategic and cumulative impact assessment, it is envisioned that the assessments will be undertaken in genuine collaboration with regional and local communities.

Depending on requirements these services specifically include:

  • impact assessment (strategic and cumulative)
  • project management
  • community and stakeholder engagement
  • renewable energy infrastructure expertise and experience

Suppliers have the option to quote for all or specific sections under the EOI for the project.

For detailed information on the specific services sought under this tender, please review the "Specification Documents" in "Section 3 - Here is the detail".
