Section 1

Tender Overview

Monitor, Patient, Vital Signs (referred to as the Vital Signs Monitor) are required to provide a low acuity monitoring option in a clinical environment.

  • The Vital Signs Monitor shall be capable of measuring and displaying heart rate, oxygen saturation of the blood, patient temperature and non-invasive blood pressures.
  • Pulse Oximetry (SpO2) shall provide:
    1. Support for a range of probes/sensors, re-usable and disposable, suitable for a range of patient demographics, including neonatal, paediatric, adult, and bariatric
    2. Compatibility with a range of integrated probe/sensor technology
    3. Pulse/signal strength indicator
    4. Waveform and numeric display
    5. Audible and visible alarms
    6. High degree of patient motion artefact rejection
  • Non-Invasive Blood Pressure shall provide:
    1. STAT and set time modes
    2. Range of cuff sizes
  • Temperature shall provide:
    1. Support for multiple temperature sites.
    2. Options for contactless temperature sensors should also be tendered.
  • Vital Signs Monitors that are capable of measuring and displaying more than the above parameters should also be tendered.
