Section 1

Tender Overview

Tenders are invited for the construction of carpark pavement upgrades, including 74 car parks and 13 Motorbike parks, supply and installation of a stormwater Gross Pollutant Trap (GPT) and associated works located at the Clarke Place Park, Happy Valley Caloundra.

 This is a lump sum construction contract.

Works are to include but not limited to the following:

  • Stormwater GPT

- Supply and installation of Humegard GPT (HG18R)

- Kerb and Channel work

- installation of Stormwater Drainage

- Pavement demolition and reinstatement

- Installation of PVC water pipe and cover

- Clearing and grubbing

- Turfing

- water connection work

- Removal of existing water line (Removal and disposal of Asbestos containing DN100 AC water main if required)

  • Permeable Car park
  • Tree removal (5 Trees adjacent to retaining wall to be removed in coordination with council arborist)
  • Clearing and grubbing
  • Excavation
  • Construction of a Adbri masonry ECOTRIHEX OR ECOPAVE 80 Permeable Pavement (80mm pavers, 25mm bedding and 255mm subbase)
  • Line marking and parking signs
  • I - beam retaining wall
  • Installation of Stormwater pipe from carpark to existing pits
  • Subsoil drain

Carpark and GPT works are to run concurrently. An anticipated construction period of eight (8) weeks has been programmed. Coordination, supply, handling, and delivery of the GPT for installation will be the responsibility of the Contractor. The Contract is anticipated to be awarded at the end of May 2024, with practical completion by the end of August 2024.

The successful Contractor will be required to provide all materials, plant and labour, and to perform all necessary operations of whatever kind, to ensure the complete and proper completion of the works associated with this contract.
