Section 1

Tender Overview

This contract relates to the preparation of a cumulative impact assessment and identification of measures to manage impacts on matters of national environmental significance (MNES) for three pilot bioregional plans. The pilot plans are focussed on:

• Urban development in Potential Future Growth Areas (PFGAs) in south-eastern Queensland.

• Wind farming in the Collinsville area in northern Queensland.

• Mineral mining in the Julia Creek and Richmond area in north-western Queensland.

The contract’s outcomes are:

• Preparation of a cumulative impact assessment, comprising:

o an impact pathways analysis and

o a risk assessment.

• Identification of measures to manage the impacts on MNES. This includes considering the impact of those measures on social, cultural and economic values.
